KJ Somaiya Mumbai has started EMBA admission process for the academic session 2024-2025. Further, UCEED 2024 results are now available for BDes admission at the institute. KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research (SIMSR), was established in the year 1981 is located in the heart of Mumbai. The institute was started with a vision to build a world-class research and teaching institute that’s global in the reach of ideas. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE. Moreover, SIMSR is certified as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 29990:2010 by Bureau Veritas Quality International. KJ Somaiya has been ranked 45th in the management category of the NIRF Ranking List 2023. The ranking has risen as compared to 2022. In 2022, it was ranked 71st under the management category.

Among the many surveys that are conducted by different brands, SIMSR has been awarded as ‘Super League 2’ by ‘Business Standard’ in the 2017-2018 year and also bagged the position 54th by NIRF 2019. According to a survey of Outlook, the institute has been ranked 30th in the country and also bagged the 28th spot by ‘The Week’ magazine among the top management colleges in India. SIMST is also a member of AACSB and actively participating towards getting its accreditation from AACSB.

SIMSR offers full-time and part-time Masters, Management and Doctoral courses in different specializations. Some of the courses offered by the college are accredited and also re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).  Most of the PGDM courses offered by SIMSR are recognized as equivalent to Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All the activities related to academic conduct under the guidance of the Governing Council as per the guidelines of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). 

The campus of SIMSR is spread across two spacious, well-furnished buildings covering an area of 150,000 sq. feet.  The facilities provide by the college are such as a fully computerized library, ac classrooms, multiple seminar halls, conference rooms, student discussion rooms, two separate hostels for girls and boys and Tagore amphitheatre. 

The college has 28 student-driven committees and clubs. These committees and clubs are completely driven by the students of SIMSR under the guidance of faculty mentors and focus towards the professional growth and cultural development of the students. Also, the college celebrates all the festivals with equal vigor and enthusiasm and organizes events as part of these celebrations to make both students and teachers feel at home.
